Ty Evans was a founding member of Plastic Pear Designs, a graphic design studio that specialized in website development, DTP, logo development, and design and layout of printed publications. Clients included Wakefield's Estate Agency, several 5-star game lodges, and numerous SMMEs. He is qualified in graphic design and DTP, is co-owner of a Hillcrest-based audio production studio and lead singer in a Durban-based band. He recently wrote and produced a song which he has donated to raise funds for children's charities in KZN.
